Facial Plastic Fellowship Match
The Fellowship Match for Facial Plastic Surgery (FM-FAC) was
established in 1995. Its goal is to coordinate fellowship appointments, thus
relieving the pressure of uncoordinated appointments and forced early choices.
The participating programs will not make any appointments until the match
has been completed.
Sponsorship
The Educational and Research Foundation (ERF) of the American Academy
of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) sponsors
the matching process and is responsible for enforcement at applicable rules.
The Matching office does not sponsor or approve any of the participating
programs. The function of the Matching Program is strictly limited to processing
of the match. Listing or not listing of any program in the directory does
not imply any form of approval, disapproval or endorsement. The decision
to be listed or not rests solely with each individual Program Director.
About the Match
The Match takes place in June and will be used to process all applicants who
want to start their fellowship training in the following year. To participate
in the the Match, Fellowship applicants must become AAFPRS members. All applications
must be processed through the ERF/AAFPRS office. The Match charges $50 applicant registration fee. This fee will be collected by the ERF/AAFPRS office.
